This tool calculates the approximate blood alcohol (ethanol, ethyl alcohol)
concentration resulting from one drink. The "proof" will be listed on the
container of the beverage. The proof is 2 times the alcohol percentage. In other
words, 120 proof = 60% alcohol.
The units on the calculated estimate are mg/dL or milligram (mg) %. The legal
limit (varies state to state) for driving is 80-100 mg/dL. One ounce = 30 mL.
